CAIRO, Egypt, Oct 2, (Agencies): The artist Haidy Karam spoke about the suffering of celebrities from mockery, bullying, and comments by social media users, urging her followers to consider the feelings of showbiz stars, especially women. She emphasized that, like most celebrities, she endures many insults and suffers from bullying.
Haidy said in a video posted on her Instagram account: "We, as celebrities, have endured a lot, honestly, on behalf of celebrities, especially women like me. We have endured insults, mockery, devaluation, and terror on social media, and you make us feel forgotten. We have endured being cursed, humiliated, and mocked, and, seriously, it's too much. There's no limit to this, it's a lot. There's no bit of humanity and empathy left."
She continued: "Believe me, the people who insult us, if we insulted them the same way, they would commit suicide the next day. We have a very strong nervous system, and we tolerate and feel, but we don't respond. We won't behave like that because we are respectful, polite, sensitive, and we value the feelings of others, which you clearly lack."
Haidy continued: "That's enough; find another game for yourselves because our dignity is not a game in your hands. Leave us in peace. Everyone has their own problems, tragedies, people facing work, family, social, emotional, and health crises. I kindly request and urge you to be a bit more compassionate towards each other. There's no grudge between us, and our success doesn't mean your failure. Everyone can succeed. Please be at ease with your kind and sweet artist sisters who create nice things for you."
