RIYADH, Oct 23: A ministerial committee representing Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states convened for its inaugural meeting on Sunday, discussing cyber security efforts within the regional bloc. The talks, attended by GCC chief Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, aim to put in place "collective strategies" that will boost preparedness to deal with any potential cyber threats, while simultaneously bolstering cooperation with relevant global bodies. A pan Gulf Arab exercise on cybersecurity was held on the sidelines of the talks in the Saudi capital, allowing each country the chance to illustrate its experiences on the matter (KUNA)
