KUWAIT CITY, June 19: The General Fire Force announced that firefighting and marine rescue teams responded to 68 marine accident reports during the Eid al-Adha holiday, fortunately without any casualties.
The administration emphasized the importance of marine safety and urged seafarers to adhere to safety guidelines. These include ensuring that boats are properly maintained and equipped, wearing life jackets, carrying fire extinguishers, checking weather conditions, and ensuring sufficient fuel, food, and water supplies. Seafarers were also reminded to call the emergency number (112) if assistance is needed.
The General Fire Force’s proactive measures and swift response during the holiday period underscore their commitment to public safety and effective emergency management.
