KUWAIT CITY, May 24: A Georgian expatriate was arrested along with an Arab expatriate after a large shipment of liquor arrived at Shuaiba Port from an Arabian Gulf country. According to sources, when the General Department for Criminal Investigations received information about a cargo of liquor heading to Kuwait from an Arabian Gulf country, a team was formed to coordinate with the Customs Inspection Department for investigations and to take strict security measures at Shuaiba Port. When the shipment arrived at the port, the container was checked and a large number of cartons of liquor were discovered. When an Arab expatriate went to the port to clear the shipment, he was arrested. During interrogations, he revealed that the shipment belongs to an expatriate from Georgia.
