Ghazlan Ali clinches 10m pistol gold at Crown Prince Shooting Championship

Al-Osaimi crowns the female shooters.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: The annual shooting championship, sponsored by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, continues today, Tuesday, with the "mixed trap" competition, featuring 75 targets. The event will run from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, with the final taking place from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.

In the 10m pistol competition, Ghazlan Ali secured first place, followed by Athari Al-Balushi in second and Israa Bahman in third.

Additionally, the 10m air rifle competition (for both men and women) will begin today, along with the finals for the two competitions. Official training for the skeet competition will also be conducted.

The championship, which is supported by His Highness the Crown Prince, will conclude on Friday.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, CEO of the Saudi Shooting Federation, shared that Saudi Arabia is participating with four shooters, aiming to prepare them for future competitions. He commended the Kuwait Shooting Federation for organizing a championship that offers valuable interaction and experience-building opportunities, given the high level of competition.

He also praised the Federation’s efforts, noting that the championship continues the legacy of previous successful events, both technically and organizationally.

Hamad Al-Balushi, Secretary-General of the Oman Shooting Federation, thanked the Kuwait Shooting Federation for hosting the prestigious championship and the Arab Championship, emphasizing Kuwait’s role as a central hub for Arab shooters. He highlighted Kuwait's world-class shooting facilities and its standing as a leader in organizing Gulf, Arab, and Asian events, supported by experts such as Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, President of the Asian Federation, Engineer Duaij Al-Otaibi, and Secretary-General Obaid Al-Osaimi.
