KUWAIT CITY, June 24: The government contract workers constitute the lost link between contracting companies and government agencies. They are living in a state of psychological and functional instability due to disturbances between the two sides leading to non-application of some of the provisions contained in the contracts.
Government contract workers fall victim to the clash between the two sides every time a problem or misunderstanding arises between both parties. The outcome of such disputes is the delay in disbursement of their monthly wages or failure to collect financial dues and entitlements.
The placement of workers in the dispute circle without taking into account the human and moral aspects may result in a set of imbalances in the work, as it constitutes a headache for the institutions and may affect completion of transactions for clients one way or the other.
