KUWAIT CITY, Dec 12: Grilling requests by MPs Hamdan Al-Azmi and Rakan Al-Nisf against the Minister of Health Dr Ali Al-Obaid will be presented at the session of Dec 22 and discussed on Jan 12. Sources said meetings are currently in progress to prepare for grilling, and pivots of the proposal have been reduced from 10 to 7 amid full parliamentary support due to the deteriorating medical services in the country.
Other MPs affirmed that the minister will be able to mount the podium. They indicated the pivots of grilling include medical errors, administrative and financial violations in the file of overseas treatment, deterioration of medical services for citizens, spread of contagious diseases and other issues.
In the same context, sources said pressure is mounting on MP Mohammed Tana to suspend or cancel grilling request he intended to submit against Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, the State Minister of Planning and Development Affairs Hind Al-Subaih regarding the file of visa trafficking.
