KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: As part of its commitment to developing national talent and building a strong foundation of young leaders, Gulf Bank participated in the Innovation Challenge Program for 2024-2025. Held annually by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) in partnership with the IE Business School, the program is designed to drive innovation and cultivate creative skills within private sector companies, fostering economic growth and advancing Kuwait’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy.
Gulf Bank’s team for this year’s program included Mohammed Sahib Shokr, Senior Manager of the Anti-Money Laundering Unit; Ahed Abdulmoneim, Assistant Manager of Human Resources; Sarah Al-Abdulhadi, Assistant Manager of Financial Institutions & Sovereigns; and Hamad Bouresli, Associate Manager of Credit Card Management.
Over three months, Gulf Bank’s team embarked on a structured learning journey, tackling a real-world business challenge while applying cutting-edge methodologies in design thinking, business model innovation, and strategic problem-solving. Led by KFAS, the multi-stage Innovation Challenge Program began in Kuwait and culminated in an immersive experience at IE Business School in Madrid—offering world-class mentorship and hands-on training in prototyping, pitching strategies, and customer-centric innovation. Through collaboration and expert guidance, the team refined innovative solutions to drive Gulf Bank’s growth and operational excellence.
