KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: Gulf Bank has renewed its strategic partnership with INJAZ Kuwait for the 19th consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to education and youth development in Kuwait. This enduring collaboration underscores Gulf Bank’s dedication to training, empowering and equipping the next generation with vital skills, aligning with its core values and Kuwait Vision 2035.
Commenting on the partnership, Gulf Bank’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mrs. Najla Aleisa, stated: "We are honored to continue our collaboration with INJAZ Kuwait, supporting their mission to cultivate leadership and entrepreneurial skills in young Kuwaitis. Through innovative programs and activities designed for school and university students, we strive to provide them with the tools needed to succeed in today’s dynamic economic environment."
Mrs. Aleisa emphasized the importance of this partnership as part of Gulf Bank’s commitment to sustainable community development. "Investing in the next generation is essential to fostering societal and economic growth. By equipping youth with critical skills, we are empowering them to become future leaders and innovators," she added.
Gulf Bank remains committed to bridging the gap between education and employment by supporting high school and university students, as well as recent graduates, through programs that focus on business fundamentals, career exploration, and hands-on training. These efforts aim to prepare young individuals for workforce success and entrepreneurial endeavors.
Ms. Laila Hilal Al-Mutairi, CEO of INJAZ Kuwait, praised the longstanding partnership with Gulf Bank, which has made a significant impact over nearly two decades. "Our success at INJAZ Kuwait is driven by the steadfast support of private sector partners like Gulf Bank. In the 2023/2024 academic year alone, this partnership facilitated training for over 22,000 students, ranging from elementary students to recent graduates," she said.
Participants benefited from a variety of programs, including ‘Innovation Camp’, ‘Personal Finance’, ‘Career Success’, ‘Head Start’, ‘Job Shadow’, and the ‘Company Program’. Ms. Al-Mutairi highlighted Gulf Bank’s active role in the programs, with contributions that extend beyond sponsorship to include volunteering and program facilitation. "For example, the 'Company Program' plays a key role in preparing youth for entrepreneurship and the business world, equipping them with the practical knowledge they need to excel," she added.
Looking ahead to 2025, Ms. Al-Mutairi outlined plans for workshops, awareness seminars, and field programs designed to develop financial and entrepreneurial skills. These initiatives aim to empower youth to pursue innovative career paths or launch their own businesses, contributing to Kuwait’s economic growth and supporting the realization of Kuwait Vision 2035.
INJAZ Kuwait is a non-profit organization affiliated with Junior Achievement Worldwide. Supported by the Kuwaiti private sector, it collaborates with businesses and educational institutions to offer programs in both Arabic and English, focusing on entrepreneurship, leadership, and career readiness, all aimed at helping youth build successful futures.
