KUWAIT CITY, March 27: The Supreme Committee to Investigate Kuwaiti Citizenship investigated a Gulf national who had fraudulently obtained Kuwaiti citizenship. According to evidence from the Nationality Investigation Department, the information provided by sources was confirmed to be accurate. Detectives, after securing the necessary permits, arrested the individual and discovered his original Gulf identification documents in his possession. Genetic fingerprint testing further confirmed that the man listed as his father in the falsified records was not biologically related to him. The sources added that the Gulf national had been unlawfully added to a forged citizenship file following the Iraqi invasion. He is currently serving a prison sentence for the offense.
