KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: The Customs Department stated that a Gulf national was arrested for attempting to smuggle a large sum of money to Iraq. According to the source, while monitoring travelers and inspecting luggage today (Wednesday)early morning, Abdali Customs officers discovered the concealed cash hidden professionally in a bag, confirming an intent to smuggle. The traveler had initially denied carrying any money when questioned by an inspector before the search. The source added that the individual failed to disclose the reason for not declaring the money or its origin and was referred to the relevant authorities for further action.
