KUWAIT CITY, May 22: The Criminal Court has sentenced an Arab doctor to five years in prison for impersonating a Kuwaiti citizen, stealing his passport, and entering Kuwait after altering her facial features to resemble the citizen. The prosecution brought the case forward after the doctor was apprehended at Kuwait Airport, where a passport officer became suspicious of her accent and tone of voice during a conversation.

The investigation revealed that the doctor, a gynecologist, had opened a clinic to treat drug addicts, amassing significant sums of money from the patients' families. It was discovered that she had used the passports of some patients who bore a resemblance to her, with the passport of the citizen she impersonated being the most frequently used.
