KUWAIT CITY, July 24: The Academy Cup tournament, sponsored by the General Sports Authority and the National Cancer Awareness Campaign (CAN), concluded with the Haido (CAN) team, wearing blue, taking first place by defeating the Inspire team, in black, which secured second place. Abdullah Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, and Yousef Al-Hindi, representative of the General Sports Authority, honored the winning teams.

Abdullah Al-Saleh remarked that the tournament, held for its sixth season at the Public Sports Authority grounds in the Mushrif area, spanned a month and featured approximately 240 Kuwaiti amateur players. Al-Saleh highlighted the tournament's role in helping Kuwaiti youth maintain their general health and preventing diseases and obesity. He expressed confidence that the tournament would continue to improve in the coming years, serving as a vital platform for discovering promising football talents in Kuwait's future. He also extended his gratitude to the General Sports Authority for its ongoing support of sports activities in Kuwait.
