Haido Kan women’s team.

KUWAIT CITY, June 2: Abdullah Al-Saleh, Director of Haido Kan Academy, the sports arm of the National Cancer Awareness Campaign, announced that the Haido Kan women’s team secured third place in their first participation at the CHOSSE Women’s Football Championship. The tournament featured 7 teams and was held at Platinum East stadiums over 6 weeks in April and May 2024.

Al-Saleh highlighted that player “Ain” was awarded Best Player of the tournament for scoring the highest number of goals. The tournament's significance attracted sponsorship from various organizations.

The director emphasized that KANE launched this activity as part of its broader initiatives to enhance cancer awareness. The campaign organized an open day for swimming titled “Health and Prevention” at the beginning of May 2024. Additionally, the “Lost Your Weight” program, launched during Ramadan, received positive feedback from participants, who specialists are still monitoring.

Al-Saleh outlined KANE’s goal of motivating and supporting young people to engage in sports, boosting their immunity, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. This aligns with the academy’s mission to harness the positive impact of sports in shaping a healthier lifestyle for youth.
