Hawally Residents, Beware: Dangers Lurking on Shelves as 166kg of Unfit Meat Destroyed

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: The Hawally Governorate Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued seven violation reports during an inspection campaign targeting food establishments, as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations.

The violations included operating and employing workers without valid health certificates, opening an establishment without a health license, failing to comply with general health requirements, and trading adulterated food products.

The inspection campaign also resulted in the destruction of 166 kilograms of meat deemed unfit for human consumption.

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition reaffirmed that its inspection teams will continue conducting regulatory campaigns to ensure food safety, enforce health regulations and protect consumer health.
