Hayakom platform adds new features to improve public engagement
Kuwait’s Hayakom platform launches major update to streamline event information and public engagement

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9:  The management team behind the Hayakom platform for national events has launched a significant update to the platform, introducing new services and features designed to improve communication between the platform and the public.

In a press statement on Saturday, Dr. Fatima Hashem, Acting Deputy Director General for Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Public Authority for Sports and Head of the Hayakom platform management team, explained that this update aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance community engagement and digital development. She noted that the platform is part of broader initiatives aimed at improving communication with the public and facilitating easy access to local events and activities across various sectors.

Dr. Hashem highlighted that the Hayakom platform serves as a comprehensive hub for national events in Kuwait, covering a wide range of activities, including sports, cultural, and artistic events, as well as both local and international championships. Among the upcoming events featured on the platform are the Gulf Cup Legends Football Championship, scheduled to take place in Kuwait from February 20 to 24, the Ya Hala Shopping Festival, which runs until March 31, and the events surrounding Kuwait's designation as the Capital of Culture and Media 2025. The platform also provides information about national holiday celebrations and other local activities.

"The platform's primary goal is to offer updated and reliable information in one central location, thereby strengthening the connection between citizens, residents, and visitors with the cultural and social fabric of Kuwait," Dr. Hashem said.

The platform is designed to meet the country’s aspirations to enhance digital services and improve community engagement. It aims to provide a single space where users can access details about national events and activities, as well as official news directly from relevant authorities. The platform allows users to stay informed about activities that interest them and participate easily.

Among the key features of the Hayakom platform are detailed schedules for sports, cultural, and social events in Kuwait, as well as direct access to official announcements issued by the event organizers. The platform is also integrated with social media, allowing users to interact with events through associated platforms. In addition, the application uses artificial intelligence technologies to provide technical support and ensure a smooth user experience.

Furthermore, the platform offers exclusive deals and events, with users able to explore special offers and access information about Kuwait’s prominent tourist attractions. This feature aims to promote Kuwait as a destination for both residents and tourists, enhancing the country's visibility and cultural appeal.

The launch of the Hayakom platform is part of Kuwait's national strategy for digital transformation, which includes providing digital channels that improve communication between organizing bodies and the public. Dr. Hashem noted that the platform is expected to continue evolving with additional updates and features to meet the needs of users and adapt to community developments.

The platform’s launch marks a significant step toward building an interactive digital community, strengthening national identity, and encouraging active participation in national events and activities.

Dr. Hashem concluded by emphasizing that the Hayakom platform is a sustainable project that will contribute to the growth of Kuwait’s cultural and sports scene, with future updates aimed at expanding its offerings.
