KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: The General Assembly of Equestrianism has approved a new board of directors to lead the Kuwait Equestrian Federation for the 2024-2028 electoral cycle, with veteran equestrian Masoud Jawhar Hayat re-elected as president. The decision was made during the assembly’s meeting at the headquarters of the Olympic Committee.
The newly appointed board includes Sheikh Yousef Mishaal Al-Sabah as Vice Chairman, Ghazi Faisal Al-Jariwi as Secretary, Raghad Waleed Al-Dubos as Deputy Secretary, and knights Ali Jassim Al-Kharafi and Abdulrahman Al-Fuzai as representatives of the Knights Committee. Additionally, the board will include a representative for endurance riding.
Masoud Hayat expressed his gratitude to the General Assembly for their confidence in the board, stating, “I thank the General Assembly for endorsing the Federation’s board for the new term. We remain committed to supporting and advancing Kuwaiti equestrianism, overcoming challenges, and enabling our riders to participate in local and international competitions.”
Hayat, now serving his second term as president after initially taking office in January 2021, also extended his appreciation to the sponsors of equestrianism and local championships. He urged private sector companies to continue their support to further develop and promote equestrian sports in Kuwait.
