Health Insurance for Foreign Affairs Staff Restricted to Overseas Residency

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The Council of Ministers has issued Decree No. 196 of 2024, which cancels health insurance coverage for employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and their family members residing in Kuwait, limiting the coverage to their residence abroad.

According to the decree, the first paragraph of Article (28) of Decree No. 245 of 2005 has been amended as follows:

Article (28): "The Ministry shall cover health insurance or treatment expenses for employees of diplomatic missions, including diplomats, administrators, their family members residing with them, as well as a servant and a nanny for children abroad."
