Naya Rivera.

LOS ANGELES, Dec 3, (Agencies): Naya Rivera's former Glee co-stars paid a heartfelt tribute to the late singer-actress by coming together to release a previously unheard track, "Prayers for the Broken," which Rivera initially recorded in 2012. The reunion of Kevin McHale, Heather Morris, Ashley Fink, Vanessa Lengies, Amber Riley, and Jenna Ushkowitz added poignant finishing touches to the song. Released posthumously on Friday, the track aims to support Alexandria House, a charity closely associated with Rivera prior to her tragic passing in 2020. All proceeds from the song will contribute to the charity's fourth annual Snixxmas Charity Fundraiser.

According to Alexandria House, the unreleased song, with approval from its original writers Lindy Robbins and Isaac Hasson, along with Naya's mother, Yolanda Previtire, is a touching tribute to the enduring legacy of the beloved artist. The charity, founded in 1996, focuses on offering transitional housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to long-term stability and permanent housing.

Kevin McHale, one of Naya's co-stars, encouraged fans to celebrate her talent and heart through the song. Expressing the personal significance of the track, McHale expressed his hope that it would resonate with fans as much as it has with him over the years.

Earlier this year, during the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, additional Glee cast members, including Darren Criss, Iqbal Theba, Heather Morris, and Kevin McHale, reunited to pay tribute to Naya Rivera with a meaningful picket sign.
