KUWAIT CITY, Nov 5: Under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Annual Shooting Championship concluded Saturday. His Highness the Crown Prince delegated Farwaniyah Governor Sheikh Mishal Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah to attend the closing ceremony and honor the winners.

The event was held over three days at Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex. Upon arrival, the representative of His Highness the Crown Prince was received by Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports (PAS) Mahmoud Abul and chairman of Kuwait Shooting Club Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi. The ceremony started with playing the national anthem and reciting some Quranic verses, then was followed by a speech by Al-Otaibi.

After that, Sheikh Mishal Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah delivered the trophies and prizes to the competition’s winners. At the end, His Highness the Crown Prince’s representative received a souvenir and a memorial photo was taken with him. Meanwhile, Othman Al- Failakawi won the gold medal in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol contest during His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Shooting Championship. Al-Failakawi, who represents the Military Sports Union, managed to win the gold after taking first place, ahead of the shooter Hassan Al-Failakawi of the National Guard, who won second place and the silver medal, and Abdullah Al-Mullah from the National Guard shooters, who came in third and obtained the bronze medal.
