KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28: With the extension of implementation of the precautionary measures to confront the COVID-19 pandemic and prevent its spread, movement in all areas has become lesser than what it was before the pandemic. This is reflected in all activities, especially economic and social, and it has led to a change in the prices of some goods and services among other things, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily went out on the street to obtain opinions regarding the price hike of services provided in women's salons and beauty shops. Some of those who were interviewed affirmed that the prices of the services in some salons have doubled and in some others they have increased abnormally compared to what they were before the COVID-19 crisis. They called for intensifying monitoring and price follow-up.

Meanwhile, despite the complaints of the majority of the interviewees concerning the price increase, some believe that the prices are still good and not exaggerated.

They insisted that the economic conditions have been negatively affected by the COVID-19 crisis and it is a natural thing to see differences in some prices. At the same time, they stressed the need not to exploit consumers, especially because prices are high everywhere, and differ in all places, including in clothing stores, home supplies, restaurants, etc
