KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: A group of home-schooled students staged a sit-in on Sunday morning, demanding the Minister of Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi to withdraw the ministry’s decision to render them to take their exams on paper in schools, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Speaking to the daily, the students indicated that the Ministry of Education’s decision to render them take their exams on September 27 on paper inside schools contradicts the health guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and the special exemptions for the groups afflicted with chronic diseases.

They said many of them have chronic diseases and are excluded from work, adding that the Minister of Education's decision forces them to sit for written exams in schools that were used to shelter expatriate workers who could have been infected with the COVID-19 virus.
