KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: Kuwaiti international judge Nabila Al-Ali has affirmed that the hosting of two- and three-star international championships in Kuwait, under the International Equestrian Federation's supervision, has significantly elevated the technical prowess of male and female riders. The remarkable success achieved by the private sector in supporting equestrian sports, particularly showjumping, has played a pivotal role in this advancement in recent years.

Al-Ali praised SAFEX Company for its successful organization of the "KIB The Stadium" International Championship, sponsored by Kuwait International Bank, held at Marina Beach. The event attracted a substantial number of male and female knights representing European and Gulf countries, underscoring the private sector's capability to organize international tournaments under the scrutiny of the International Equestrian Federation.

She highlighted the presence of key sports figures, including His Highness Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, who commended the excellent organization and success of the events.

The ongoing third international championship at Marina Beach features three rounds at heights of 120, 130, and 140 cm, concluding on Friday with three additional rounds at heights of 110, 120, 135, and 140 cm. The championship's culmination on Saturday is expected to witness intense competition for the Grand Prize round at a height of 145 cm. Saudi international jockey Abdullah Al Sharbatly, having secured the Grand Prix title in the past two tournaments, sets the stage for a compelling showdown in the third international competition.
