KUWAIT CITY, April 10: The Kuwait Meteorological Department has forecast hot weather during the day and moderate, partly cloudy conditions at night over the weekend. The director of the department Dirar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country will be affected by a hot air mass that will result in high temperatures with active southerly winds, which could reduce horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in open areas, with chances of scattered rain. Al-Ali said he expects the weather to start improving on Friday morning with a decrease in high temperatures, compared to Thursday. He explained that there will be a noticeable decrease in temperature during the daytime on Friday. The weather will remain hot, but the dust will gradually settle. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally active, ranging from 15 to 42 kilometers per hour. Some scattered clouds are expected, along with a chance of light, scattered rain. The expected maximum temperatures will range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, ranging from two to six feet.
On Friday night, the weather will be moderate and partly cloudy. Winds will shift from northwesterly to north-easterly, light to moderate, occasionally active, ranging from 15 to 40 kilometers per hour. There will be a chance of scattered rain, with thunderstorms at times. The expected minimum temperatures will range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, and the sea will experience light to moderate waves, rising sometimes between two and six feet. On Saturday, the weather will be hot and partly cloudy during the day. Winds will be from the north to variable direction, light to moderate, occasionally active, ranging between 12 and 40 kilometers per hour, with a chance of scattered light rain. Maximum temperatures are expected to be between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, and sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves between two and five feet. The weather on Saturday night will be moderate, with northwesterly to northerly winds, light to moderate, occasionally active, between 15 and 45 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures will range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, sometimes rising between two and six feet.
