KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: Two Asian housemaids drowned recently at Khiran chalets area, while another is in critical condition. The Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received a report about the incident, so the Coast Guard patrols and emergency medical technicians were immediately dispatched to the location. They rescued one of the Asian housemaids and recovered the bodies of the two others. A security source revealed the three housemaids were with their employers who rented chalets in Khiran. He said the housemaids went to the man-made lake to swim, but after some time, their companions could no longer see them; prompting the employers to report the incident. A case of drowning leading to injury and death was registered at Khiran Coastal Area Police Station.
