KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: Tamim Madani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Kuwait, has highlighted the rush of Syrians at the embassy who want to bring in their families following the decision by Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior to facilitate family reunification, reports Al-Seyassah daily. This policy change has led to a daily influx of hundreds to nearly a thousand visitors at the embassy, significantly increasing the workload and pressure on embassy staff. Madani while showing appreciation for the decision, noted its positive impact on residents and community members who seek to bring their families to Kuwait.

However, he acknowledged that the surge in transactions has overwhelmed the embassy’s resources and staff capabilities. To address this challenge, the embassy has reactivated its “registration platform” and increased appointment slots to manage the high volume of transactions more effectively. Despite these efforts, the increased demand has led to delays, with transactions taking one to two days to process. Madani reassured that the embassy is committed to providing effi cient service and urged patience from the community. He emphasized the importance of adhering to Kuwaiti laws and maintaining a positive reputation, encouraging Syrians in Kuwait to continue being model residents and contribute positively to their host country.
