About 500 settlers broke in Al-Aqsa mosque, led by an Israeli minister, the Public Relations and Media Circle in Jerusalem said on Thursday.
On his part, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh denounced the so-called (Flag March) that extremists intend to organize and described it as "Absurd and provocative." "The (Flag March) does not give the occupation any legitimacy, and it is one of the absurd policies and repressive practices of the occupation government," he said.
"The occupation cannot change the features of the Holy City, with its stationed Jerusalemites and its Islamic and Christian sanctities," he stressed. "The Palestinian people have made and are still making great sacrifices for the Arab and Islamic nations in defending the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem," and will continue to confront the occupation's policies and practices, no matter how big the sacrifices are," he added.
