KUWAIT CITY, Feb 2: The Indian Badminton Association—Kuwait (IBAK) successfully organized its Intra-Club Badminton Tournament on January 30 and 31, 2025. The tournament brought together members for two days of exciting competition and camaraderie.

The event, held at the IBAK Salwa Gym, saw over 100 players of all skill levels participating in various categories, including Flight 1 Professional Doubles (Russian Roulette), Flight 2 Advanced Doubles, Flight 3 Intermediate Doubles (Open to All), Flight 4 Lower Intermediate Doubles (Open to All), and PCP & Advanced Coaching (Russian Roulette).

A highlight of the tournament was the introduction of the "Russian Roulette" category, which added a unique twist to the competition. In this format, players faced random challenges that tested their adaptability and resilience, quickly becoming a crowd favorite.

The tournament kicked off with a vibrant atmosphere, as players showcased exceptional sportsmanship and determination. Spectators cheered on their fellow members throughout the day, with thrilling rallies and intense matches that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

“This year’s tournament was a huge success, not only in terms of competition but also in fostering a stronger sense of community within our club,” said Dr. Manimara Chozhan, Chairman of IBAK. “It was incredible to see both seasoned players and newcomers come together for spirited fun and competition.”

The event wrapped up with an awards ceremony, where winners, runners-up, and semifinalists were presented with trophies. IBAK also took the opportunity to recognize the efforts of their committee members and volunteers, whose hard work was vital to the tournament’s success.
