RABAT, June 12: The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), on Sunday, called for the international community to exert all possible efforts to ban all forms of child labor by tightening efforts toward protecting this segment of society. ICESCO called on all governmental and non-governmental institutions, as well as the private sector around the world to unite efforts in order to contribute to banning all forms of child labor, the organization added in a statement.

These remarks came on the "World Day against Child Labor", celebrated annually on June 12. ICESCO statement also called on all institutions and authorities in the organization's member countries to enhance the legal framework in dealing with children labor issues, taking in consideration their special and critical social circumstances and fragile conditions. It recommended further participation in setting down national plans and projects to end child labor, and to stop all forms of exploitation or violent practices against them, as well as working to guarantee offering them good education to be good members of the society.
