KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9 The IDAK-KDD Basketball Championship and IDAK Fest, held at ICSK Senior School, Salmiya, on Friday, October 4th, proved to be a resounding success, blending athletic competition with family fun. Sponsored by KDD, with Al Mulla as the remittance partner, the event was organized by the Sports Committee under the leadership of Dr. Eldho George and Dr. Renjit George.

The event was officially inaugurated by IDAK President Dr. George P. Alex, with KDD's Mr. Anand Harith (Manager - Business Systems) serving as the chief guest. The basketball championship featured three teams: the Red Raptors, led by Dr. Rupesh and Dr. Ranjitha, the Green Dragons, captained by Dr. Ashwin and Dr. Remya, and the Blue Phoenixes, headed by Dr. Joe Daniel and Dr. Jyothy.

Throughout the tournament, participants displayed impressive skill and exemplary sportsmanship. In the women's final, the Green Dragons secured a narrow victory over the Blue Phoenixes with a score of 14-12, earning Dr. Aastha the title of Best Player for her standout performance. The men's final saw the Green Dragons dominate the Red Raptors with an 8-0 victory and Dr. Christy was named Best Player in the men's category.

The event’s organization was top-notch, thanks to a dedicated team working behind the scenes. Dr. Shibu, Dr. Tiny, and Dr. Lini managed the reception, while Dr. Pramod and Dr. Reeby energized the crowd as event comperes. The scoreboard team, comprised of Dr. Aju, Dr. Sudhin, Dr. Vinod, Dr. Abraham, Dr. Rahul, and Prajul, kept track of the scores, while referees Mr. Shyam and Jai Girish ensured fair play on the court. Photography was beautifully handled by Dr. Jijan Sam Thomas and Dr. Santosh C.V., capturing memorable moments throughout the day. Meanwhile, the Event Management Committee, working tirelessly, kept participants and spectators refreshed with snacks, water, and juice.

The IDAK Fest brought a lively atmosphere to the event, with a range of entertaining activities for attendees of all ages. Dr. Sharon led the organization of a variety of food stalls that offered delicious treats, while under Dr. Varsha, the junior IDAKians energized the crowd with their creative game stalls. Overseeing the entire event, Dr. Anjana ensured that everything ran smoothly, contributing to the day’s great success.

With a combination of intense competition and vibrant festivities, the IDAK-KDD Basketball Championship and IDAK Fest brought the Indian dental community together for a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and memorable moments.
