KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs is preparing for the holy month of Ramadan by launching a series of initiatives aimed at equipping mosques to create a spiritual atmosphere that meets the needs of worshipers during this sacred time. According to informed sources, the ministry is in continuous communication and coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the smooth operation of donation collection. As in previous years, donations will be collected through bank deductions and electronic payment systems like KNet to ensure transparency and prevent any violations.
Several initiatives have been proposed, particularly for the Grand Mosque, to enhance the experience for worshipers. Among the plans is the provision of coolers and mobile refrigerators during the last ten days of Ramadan. This is aimed at increasing comfort for those attending prayers and night prayers. The ministry will also set up equipped tents and provide necessary supplies at the Grand Mosque. It has plans to prepare and distribute iftar and suhoor meals, and daily supplies of drinking water and juices to mosques, along with hospitality materials and resources allocated to the Support Department and the management of the Grand Mosque.
