LOS ANGELES, Feb 28, (Agencies): Ariana Grande has a strong message for those leaking her music – save their tears. The 30-year-old "7 Rings" singer discussed the unauthorized release of some of her studio session tracks on TikTok, including the leaked song "Fantasize," during an interview on the Zach Sang Show.
Addressing the situation, Grande shared that before her stint in Wicked, a few studio sessions with Grammy-winning producer Max Martin resulted in leaked music finding its way onto TikTok. Expressing gratitude with a touch of sarcasm, she said, "all over TikTok, thank you so much," before directing a message to the perpetrators: "I'll see you in jail, literally."
Clarifying the origin of the leaked songs, Grande revealed that they were actually written for an unnamed TV show and not intended for her personal release. She specifically mentioned the song "Fantasize" and expressed frustration with its unauthorized distribution. Playfully referring to the situation, she remarked, "Comes out? Thieves, pirates, crooks, illegal. I'll pay you more to put it away, to get it back," accompanied by laughter.
Grande further explained that the original version of "Fantasize" was intended as a parody of a '90s girl group vibe, shedding light on the context of the leaked material.
