KUWAIT CITY, April 2: The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) conducted inspection tours on the first and second days of Eid, leading to the seizure of several vessels using prohibited fishing nets in violation of Resolution 2004/8. These violations included the use of restricted nets and shrimp trawls ( a type of fishing gear) during the ban season, with offenders attempting to exploit poor weather conditions to evade detection.
Additionally, authorities discovered a warehouse in the Bar Kazma area stocked with illegal fishing nets, along with a number of boats prepared for use. In coordination with the Ministry of Interior and Kuwait Municipality, legal action was taken, and violation reports were issued against those responsible.
