KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: Kuwait Municipality has announced that its specialized teams have begun dismantling wedding halls that were not removed within the legal deadline of 48 hours. This action follows official warnings issued last week by the cleaning and violation removal departments, urging hall owners to comply with regulations and remove unauthorized structures. According to a statement from the municipality, this enforcement is as per Decree Law No. 105 of 1980, as amended by Decree Law No. 8 of 1988, which governs the protection of state property. The municipality emphasized that structures built outside private property boundaries are considered an encroachment on state land, necessitating legal action. The statement further warned that failure to comply will result in strict legal measures, including criminal and civil penalties, as well as the administrative removal of the violating structures. The municipality urged citizens to cooperate and take the necessary steps to avoid legal consequences.
