KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: The Indian President of India Droupadi Murmu and the Prime Minister of Narendra Modi Thursday sent cables of congratulations to HH the Amir Sheikh Mesha’al Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on assuming the highest office. In the message, the Indian Prime Minister wished HH the Amir success in continuing progress and prosperity in Kuwait and well-being.

In a similar message the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Dr Adarsh Swaika has sent greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Mesha’al  Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on assuming the highest office in Kuwait. The message read, “On behalf of the Indian Embassy and the Indian community in Kuwait, I extend sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mesha’al Al Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, on assuming the highest office of the Amir of the State of Kuwait.”

Earlier, the leadership and people of India had congratulated His Highness on taking over as the Amir of the State of Kuwait. Under his visionary leadership, Kuwait is expected to take rapid strides towards further progress and prosperity. And under his patronage, the India-Kuwait bilateral relations will continue to achieve new heights.  The large Indian community in Kuwait looks forward to his continued benevolence. I wish His Highness good health and happiness.
