KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: The Embassy of India in Kuwait commemorated the 77th Independence Day of India. The event took place within the premises of the Embassy, located in the Daiya Diplomatic area. The official program commenced at 0800 hrs at the Embassy premises. It began with a ceremonial floral tribute paid to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi by the Ambassador of India to Kuwait, HE Dr Adarsh Swaika. This was followed by the hoisting of the National Tricolor flag and the rendition of the Indian National Anthem.

On this significant occasion, the Ambassador read out the message to the nation by the President of India. The Ambassador in his address to the hundreds of Indians who had gathered at the embassy premises, expressed gratitude towards the leadership and government of the friendly State of Kuwait for the consistent support in strengthening and deepening India-Kuwait bilateral relations. He also acknowledged the special care extended to the Indian Community in Kuwait.

The Ambassador also highlighted the Embassy’s collaborative efforts with the community in advancing India-Kuwait relations and addressing matters of concern. He emphasized the various initiatives undertaken by the embassy, encompassing the promotion of trade, investment, culture, and tourism. The Ambassador also underscored the expansion and reinforcement of institutional cooperation across different domains. He outlined various measures adopted to ensure the well-being and welfare of the Indian Community in Kuwait.
