KUWAIT CITY, April 23: The Indian Embassy in Kuwait announced the launch of the first Indian radio broadcast of its kind in Kuwait, praising the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information for starting an Indian program on “Kuwait Radio” on the FM 93.3 and AM 96.3 waves every Sunday, noting that “this step will further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, HE Dr. Adarsh Swaika, said “Starting the first ever Hindi language program on Kuwait National Radio is a historic step that strengthens relations between the two countries and will help bridge the information gap within the largest Indian expatriate community in Kuwait about developments in India and Kuwait, and it will also be a source of entertainment.

He added, "I take this opportunity to thank the Minister of Information Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi and his team for making this possible, and I am sure that the Indian community in Kuwait will welcome this initiative."

Regarding the content that will be presented, the Indian envoy explained, “The content addresses recent developments in bilateral relations, important news in both countries, and entertainment, including sports news, Bollywood news, and Indian songs, and this content will be presented on Kuwait Radio.”
