KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: Security personnel have detained an Indian expatriate for investigation after he allegedly transported the body of his compatriot and dumped it in a garbage container, following the discovery of the unidentified body by authorities.

The Ministry of Interior’s operations room received a report about the discovery of an unidentified expatriate’s body inside a garbage container. As the deceased had no personal identification documents, the body was referred to the Forensics Department to establish his identity and determine the cause of death.

Investigations subsequently established the deceased’s identity and revealed that he had been living in a room near the location where the body was found. Security personnel continued their inquiries and located another Indian expatriate suspected of involvement in the incident.

During questioning, the suspect reportedly confessed to transporting his compatriot’s body and disposing of it in the garbage container. However, he denied causing the man’s death, claiming that the deceased had taken medication before he died.

The suspect reportedly told investigators that he feared being held responsible for the death and therefore decided to move the body and dispose of it.

The case has been registered as a suspicious death, and investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. The actual cause of death remains pending the Forensics Department’s findings.
