NEW DELHI, Dec 5:  Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his commitment to enhancing the historic and deep-rooted relations between India and Kuwait for the benefit of both nations and the broader region. The statement came after his meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya in New Delhi, as part of Al-Yahya’s official visit to India.

Prime Minister Modi shared his thoughts on social media platform "X," highlighting the strong historical ties and robust partnership between the two countries. During the meeting, he expressed his happiness at hosting Minister Al-Yahya and emphasized the significance of bilateral cooperation across various fields.

Modi extended his appreciation to Kuwait’s leadership, government, and people for their care and support of the Indian community in Kuwait. He reaffirmed India’s dedication to strengthening these historical ties to benefit the two nations and promote regional stability and development.

Minister Al-Yahya conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister also extended the well wishes of Kuwait’s leadership, government, and people to India, expressing hopes for continued growth, prosperity, and progress for the country and its citizens.

The meeting explored various frameworks to enhance bilateral relations in areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. It underscored the mutual commitment of both nations to further solidify their ties and promote cooperation in various sectors for the welfare of their peoples.
