Kuwait City, July 17: Abdulmohsen Abdulaziz Al Babtain Co. (AABC), the exclusive dealer for Infiniti cars in Kuwait, is thrilled to announce that its Al-Rai showroom in Kuwait has been recognized as the world's largest standalone INFINITI showroom.
This prestigious recognition comes with a Certificate of Merit awarded to the project team, led by Mrs. Jihane Bou Hamdan, where the global core Team expressed their profound appreciation and excitement in a heartfelt letter, praising the exceptional commitment, seamless collaboration, and outstanding craftsmanship demonstrated by the team. The successful execution of the Al-Rai showroom project marks a significant milestone in the automotive retail industry, setting a new benchmark for INFINITI's global design standards.
In this occasion, Mrs. Jihane Bou Hamdan, the CTO of Al Babtain group said "We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which exemplifies our commitment to innovation and excellence in every aspect of our brand. The Al Rai showroom is not just a testament to our vision for the future of automotive retail, but also a symbol of our dedication to providing our customers with an unparalleled experience. Aiming to make this a step towards a full-fledged customer experience excellence "
The Al-Rai showroom showcases INFINITI's new retail architecture, developed by the INFINITI global design team based in Atsugi, Japan. This design blends a clean, minimalist exterior with an open, light-filled interior, drawing inspiration from Japanese design philosophies. It pays homage to the brand's rich heritage while providing a truly immersive experience for customers.
The overarching design embodies the Japanese concept of "Ma," which considers the space between things. Unlike the Western construct of minimalism, Ma embraces empty space in an additive capacity to ensure balance between all elements. The design also mirrors "engawa," a transitionary architectural element that creates seamless transitions from outside to inside spaces, blurring the boundaries in between.
The exterior façade features a distinctive 'deep eave' along the roofline that purposefully creates shadow and controls direct sunlight into the showroom. The extensive use of glass fosters harmony between the structures and their surroundings, elegantly integrating with the environment. Interior spaces, where guests spend most of their time interacting with the brand, have been reimagined to evolve INFINITI's signature Total Ownership Experience, delivering an even more seamless and memorable experience.
The new retail architecture considers each detail and the space in between, adhering to the minimalist philosophy of Ma to create a refined and balanced environment. Features include:
- Extensive use of wood-look finishes throughout to deliver a warm modern ambiance and sense of calm.
- Indirect lighting on the floor and ceiling at the perimeter of the building to draw inspiration from the brand's logo and create a 'vanishing point' when viewed from afar.
- The INFINITI "Kimono fold" pattern, applied as a motif on selected walls and surfaces as a subtle nod to one of the brand's signature textural details.
- A large semi-translucent mesh screen inspired by a Japanese "Noren" fabric divider, displaying seasonal, nature-inspired content to bring a sense of warmth and interest. Viewed from outside, the screen accentuates the INFINITI logo, creating a welcoming environment for guests.
This showroom's completion is a testament to the dedication, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and unwavering pursuit of excellence exhibited by the INFINITI Al Babtain team. Their tireless work has not only created a state-of-the-art facility but also set a new standard for the automotive retail landscape.
