KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: The Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah received in his office Tuesday at Dar Al-Seyassah Press, Publishing, Printing, and Distribution Company, the Minister of Information and Culture and the State Minister for Youth Affairs Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged ideas on developing the media discourse in light of the rapid changes being experienced locally and globally, especially in the electronic media, and the reciprocity between media agencies in the private sector and official agencies in a manner that reflects the civilized image of Kuwait.

The Minister of Information and Culture and the State Minister for Youth Affairs Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi is received by the Editor-in-Chief Ahmed Al-Jarallah in his office.

They discussed the challenges that affect the presentation of accurate media discourse to the public, especially in light of the massive fl ow of information through social media platforms. They also highlighted the importance of presenting accurate facts and disqualifying rumors instantly. Minister Al-Mutairi’s delegation consisted of the Assistant Undersecretary for Press, Publishing and Publication Affairs Adel Al-Azmi, the minister’s advisors Dr. Fawaz Al-Ajmi and Rasha Al-Faris, Director of the minister’s Office Sultan Al-Dousari, and Director of Public Relations and Media Shamekh Al-Rashidi. Also present at the meeting was the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Suleiman Al-Jarallah.
