KUWAIT CITY, Jul 21: Jenan Al-Sharif of Kuwait presided over the fourth session of the Arab Child Parliament in Sharjah, UAE, as part of the Kuwaiti delegation's participation in a session titled "Societal Responsibility of MPs." The conferees discussed the societal responsibility and key role of MPs in raising awareness about the needs of Arab children, as well as initiatives for sustainable development and social justice.

From the right, student Anwar Al-Jaafar, student Jenan Al-Sharif, Speaker of Parliament, Ayman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of Parliament, supervisor of the Kuwaiti delegation Bader Al-Eenzi, student Saud Al-Mutouteh, and student Abdullah Al-Mansouri.

Fifty-four children from 16 Arab countries participated in the session, sharing their experiences and views on enhancing the role of MPs in promoting social rights and duties for children. Speaking to KUNA, Bader Al-Eenzi, head of the Ministry of Education's Psychological and Social Service Department and delegation supervisor, noted Kuwait's effective participation through initiatives related to the session's topic.

The Arab Child Parliament is an Arab League institution in which four children from each member country participate. In 2023, Al-Sharif was elected president of the parliament's third session for a two-year term.
