Innovative spring camp launched to aid female inmates' reintegration into society

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14:  First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah inaugurated the spring camp for female inmates at correctional institutions on Friday. The initiative is part of the Interior Ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance rehabilitation and recreational programs for female inmates.

According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah emphasized that these initiatives align with the ministry's commitment to international human rights standards. He noted that the programs reflect the ministry's dedication to preserving the dignity of female inmates and providing a correctional environment that upholds their rights while supporting their rehabilitation to reintegrate into society as productive and active members.

The statement further highlighted that the camp aims to create a positive and supportive environment for female inmates, improving their psychological well-being and preparing them for effective reintegration into society. This is achieved through innovative activities and comprehensive rehabilitation programs.
