KUWAIT CITY, Sep 5: Investigators from the Hawalli Governorate successfully closed 12 fraud cases after arresting an individual with a criminal history. During the investigation, the suspect confessed to carrying out multiple fraud schemes, exploiting Kuwaiti citizens' demand for domestic workers.

According to a security source, the fraudulent operations in Hawalli followed a similar pattern. The perpetrator would advertise domestic worker services on Instagram. After contacting victims and sending them photos of supposed workers, he would collect advance payments, sometimes up to 500 dinars, and then stop responding to their calls.

After several reports were filed, investigations led to the suspect's location and subsequent arrest. It was discovered that the individual had a criminal record. He admitted to creating an Instagram account specifically for this purpose and confessed to committing over 12 fraudulent acts across several governorates. When questioned about the money, he claimed to have spent it.
