KUWAIT CITY, Sep 13: As part of its ongoing security inspection efforts to apprehend violators of residency laws and wanted individuals, the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations under the Ministry of Interior has conducted a series of intensive and surprise security checks across various governorates.

Over two weeks, following the opening of new governorate offices and the formation of 24/7 security teams, these campaigns led to the arrest of 1,461 expats of various nationalities for violating residency laws. The arrested individuals have been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action, including deportation.

The General Department of Security Relations and Media emphasized that these security operations will continue across the country to apprehend lawbreakers. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting violators or suspicious activities through the emergency hotline (112).
