Intensive Security Operation in Farwaniya: 2,833 Violations and Dozens Arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: The Ministry of Interior conducted an intensive security and traffic campaign in the Farwaniya area on Friday, October 4, 2024, under the direct supervision of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. The operation involved multiple departments, including the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Rescue Police, and the Public Security Sector, along with support from the General Department of Special Security Forces and Women Police.

The campaign resulted in the issuance of 2,833 traffic violations, the arrest of 9 individuals without identification, 23 violators of residency and labor laws, and 16 absconders. Authorities also seized 11 wanted vehicles and arrested 26 individuals with outstanding warrants. Additionally, one case of intoxicant possession was reported, and 3 individuals involved in drug-related cases were apprehended. Six vehicles and three motorcycles were confiscated, while 3 individuals in an abnormal state were arrested. Three wanted individuals were referred to the Criminal Enforcement Department, and another 3 were transferred to the Traffic Department.

The Ministry highlighted that these campaigns are part of its ongoing efforts to maintain security and order throughout the country. It reaffirmed its commitment to continue implementing its plan to apprehend violators and wanted persons, ensuring public safety and security.
