KUWAIT CITY, June 5: In preparation for upcoming international competitions, including the Arab U-18 Championship in Jordan from July 1 to 13, and the 15th Asian Championship in Bahrain from July 26 to August 5, the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Association has approved a training plan for the junior national team. This plan is overseen by national coach Khaled Al-Mutairi and his assistant Mishal Al-Sabti.

Nayef Al-Flekawi, Head of the Training and National Teams Committee, explained that the training plan is divided into two phases. The first phase, conducted locally, is an intensive program designed to enhance the players’ physical fitness and technical and tactical skills in preparation for the Arab Championship. Following this, the team will attend an external training camp in Turkey from July 15 to 26 before participating in the Asian Championship in Bahrain.

Al-Flekawi emphasized the Association’s commitment to providing all necessary resources to ensure the national teams are well-prepared for international competitions.

Junior team coach Khaled Al-Mutairi confirmed that the technical staff is focused on preparing the players comprehensively for the upcoming Arab Championship. The initial emphasis is on improving physical fitness and technique, with the training program set to expand later in the month to include tactical aspects. This will help finalize the playing strategies and the main lineup for the Arab Championship.
