KUWAIT, Sept 5: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) issued a renewed warning on Thursday about a surge in fraudulent activities being conducted by individuals outside Kuwait who are impersonating security personnel through phone calls and electronic communication platforms.
In a press release by the General Department of Security Relations and Media, the ministry emphasized that it had repeatedly cautioned the public not to fall victim to these scams. The MoI stressed that it does not engage with individuals via video calls or request any bank information from citizens or residents.
The ministry urged the public to report any suspicious calls to the relevant authorities immediately. It also noted that these fraudulent calls are being closely monitored and tracked by the concerned departments within the MoI to take appropriate action. (KUNA)
