Interior Ministry ready for new school year with enhanced traffic and safety measures
Ministry of Interior

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15: The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday its comprehensive readiness for the 2024-2025 academic year, focusing on student and road user safety and facilitating smooth traffic flow. To achieve this, the ministry will deploy patrols on both main and secondary roads, addressing traffic congestion promptly, particularly around schools and their access routes.

In a press statement, the General Department of Security Relations and Media outlined that the ministry’s sectors have finalized their preparations to ease traffic movement. The ministry also emphasized its commitment to enforcing traffic rules and legal measures against violators.

Coinciding with the new school year, the Ministry of Interior is participating in the awareness campaign titled "With Our Determination We Achieve Our Dream," in collaboration with the Ministries of Education and Information and the Government Communication Center. This initiative aims to promote public safety principles and strengthen the partnership between students and security agencies, ensuring a secure educational environment.

The ministry commended the efforts of supporting authorities in launching the media campaign. These efforts include creating content that fosters academic achievement, creativity, and a culture of security. The campaign seeks to effectively deliver awareness and guidance messages to parents and students through various media platforms.

As part of the campaign, the ministry will organize awareness seminars in schools to boost security and traffic awareness among students. These seminars will offer guidance on how to handle emergency situations and avoid potential risks both inside and outside the school.

The campaign will run throughout the academic year, targeting students, parents, teachers, and school staff. Activities will include awareness seminars, distribution of educational materials, and training programs, along with media and social media outreach to spread the campaign's message.
