KUWAIT CITY, June 12: The Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) recently reported that several telecommunications companies experienced disruptions in their internet services due to a severed international cable connection.
The cable link connecting the international network and the communication network in Kuwait was affected. Etisalat, in a Twitter announcement, confirmed that the cable was cut approximately 8 kilometers away from the city divider towards the Umm Al-Hayman divider, as a result of the Cairo Street development project. The company assured its customers that its team is taking necessary measures to repair the damaged cable.
